Channel 4 scoops top prize after winning the  Channel of the Year Award at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival

 

Channel 4 voted Terrestrial Channel of the Year

BBC Three voted Non-Terrestrial Channel of the Year

Outnumbered voted Terrestrial Programme of the Year

The Inbetweeners voted Non-Terrestrial Programme of the Year

Misfits receives The Network and Fast Track Programme Award

 

Channel 4 has been voted Terrestrial Channel of the Year.  Julian Bellamy, Acting Chief Creative Officer, Channel 4 collected the award for Terrestrial Channel of the Year at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.

 

Outnumbered won Terrestrial Programme of the Year and the award was collect by Controller BBC One, Jay Hunt.

 

The Network and Fast Track Choice Award for Best TV Show of 2010 went to E4’s Misfits. The cast sent a video thank you message.  

 

BBC Three won the Non-Terrestrial Channel of the Year. Channel Controller, Danny Cohen collected the award.

 

The Inbetweeners scooped the award for Non-Terrestrial Programme of the Year. It was picked up by Julian Bellamy, Acting Chief Creative Officer, Channel 4.

 

The winners were decided by a live studio audience and the Executive Committee. Nominees were shortlisted by voters online. In previous years the winners were decided by the MGEITF Executive committee from a shortlist voted for by members of the public in a YouGov Poll.
